Closing Bell: Bears continued to dominate the market as the Nifty slipped below 23,200 and the Sensex plunged 1,471 points.

Indian equity benchmarks ended in negative territory for the third straight session on March 13, with the Nifty closing under the 23,200 level. By the end of the trading session, the Sensex dropped 1,470.50 points (1.93%) to finish at 74,563.92, while the Nifty declined 488.05 points (2.06%) to settle at 23,151.10.
