Closing Bell: Nifty ends below 24,100, Sensex loses 326 points; defence, energy stocks lead decline
Indian benchmark indices closed lower on August 19, with the Nifty settling below the 24,100 level. The Sensex ended 325.78 points lower at 76,909.68, while the Nifty slipped 76.60 points to 24,078.30.
