Closing Bell | Sensex Ends 106 Points Higher After Rangebound Trade; Nifty Holds Above 24,200; Tata Motors Surges 5%, Eternal Gains 2%

Indian equity benchmarks closed with modest gains on Wednesday, capping a volatile session marked by geopolitical tensions. The Sensex ended 106 points higher, while the Nifty settled above the 24,200 mark. Markets initially wavered following Indian armed forces' missile strikes on terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), conducted under ‘Operation Sindoor’. The strikes targeted nine sites, including Jaish-e-Mohammad’s base in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s facility in Muridke, in retaliation for the recent Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.
