Closing Bell: Sensex, Nifty Finish Nearly Flat; Midcaps Outperform

Indian equity benchmarks closed largely unchanged on August 10 after a volatile trading session. The Sensex gained 43.27 points, or 0.06%, to settle at 78,542.44, while the Nifty 50 rose 13.15 points, or 0.05%, to 24,583.80. Broader markets outperformed, with midcaps witnessing stronger buying interest. Among sectoral indices, Nifty Realty climbed 1.5%, while the Consumer Durables index advanced 0.4% and Private Bank index added 0.3%.
