GIFT Nifty slips 150 points; here’s the market outlook for today’s session
Equity benchmarks witnessed a sharp rebound on Friday, recovering after a three-session losing streak. Market sentiment was lifted despite ongoing global uncertainties. However, geopolitical concerns particularly the escalating Israel-Iran tensions and increasing US involvement are expected to weigh on investor confidence today. Technical support remains firm near the 24,800 mark, indicating potential opportunities for buy-on-dips strategies. The India VIX continued to ease, reflecting reduced market anxiety. Meanwhile, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) turned net buyers in the cash segment, and the Indian Rupee appreciated against the US Dollar. That said, FII exposure in the futures segment saw a marginal pullback. Going forward, analysts emphasize that global triggers will continue to steer market direction, with key focus on US manufacturing and services PMI data, alongside any fresh updates from geopolitical developments. In the near term, markets may trade in a range with intermittent spikes in volatility. Disclaimer: This is not investment advice. The information is provided solely for informational purposes.
