$HINDALCO Q1 Profit Soars 75% to Record ₹7,013 Crore on Strong Aluminium Prices

Synopsis: $HINDALCO posted its best-ever quarterly performance in Q1, backed by a steep rise in aluminium prices and a recovery in its subsidiary Novelis. The company is prioritising the execution of projects worth nearly ₹50,000 crore while assessing fresh investment opportunities for future expansion. Aditya Birla Group’s flagship metals company $HINDALCO Industries reported a 75% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to a record ₹7,013 crore for the June quarter. Revenue from operations climbed 32% to ₹84,825 crore, while EBITDA surged 73% to ₹14,989 crore. The strong results were supported by an almost 50% annual increase in aluminium prices and improved performance at Novelis. Managing Director Satish Pai said the company will concentrate on delivering its ongoing projects while maintaining a disciplined approach to future investments. $HINDALCO shares reacted positively to the robust Q1 numbers, gaining sharply across both the BSE and NSE.
