ICICIBANK
delivered a robust performance in the June quarter, with standalone net profit increasing 15.95% year-on-year to ₹14,804.5 crore, ahead of market expectations. Strong growth in net interest income (NII), stable margins, and continued improvement in asset quality supported the earnings.
The lender's NII rose 12.7% year-on-year to ₹24,384.35 crore, surpassing analysts' projections of ₹23,689 crore. Profit after tax also exceeded estimates of ₹13,616 crore.
The bank's net interest margin (NIM) expanded to 4.36% in Q1 FY27 from 4.32% in the preceding quarter and 4.34% in the corresponding period last year.
Asset quality strengthened further during the quarter, with the gross non-performing asset (GNPA) ratio improving to 1.38% as of June 30, 2026, compared with 1.40% at the end of March and 1.67% a year earlier. The net NPA ratio remained healthy at 0.35%.
