Market Highlights: Sensex ends 84 pts higher on last-minute buying; Nifty crosses 25,900; TMCV climbs 4%, Eternal up 2%.
The benchmark indices — Nifty and Sensex — staged a dramatic late-session rebound on Friday, November 14, surging 500 and 175 points from their intraday lows to log a fifth consecutive day of gains. The sharp turnaround came as vote-counting trends signaled a clear victory for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance, which quickly lifted market mood after an otherwise subdued trading session. Public-sector banks and pharmaceutical stocks spearheaded the rally, drawing robust buying interest toward the close.
The S&P BSE Sensex inched up 0.10% to finish at 84,562, rising 84 points, while the NSE Nifty 50 advanced 0.14% — or 36 points — to settle at 25,916.
