The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), a state-owned financial institution under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, reported a 36% year-on-year (YoY) decline in its standalone net profit, which fell to ₹247 crore in the first quarter of FY26, compared to ₹384 crore in the same period last year. Despite the dip in profit, the agency posted a 29% YoY increase in interest income, backed by strong growth in its loan portfolio and disbursements.
