Reliance Industries Q4 FY25 Results: Profit Rises on Consumer Strength Despite Softer Energy Margins

(RIL), India’s largest company by market capitalization, reported a resilient performance in the fourth quarter of FY25, supported by strong growth in its digital and retail businesses, even as margins from its energy segment remained soft.
The company’s net profit attributable to shareholders rose 2.4% year-on-year to ₹19,407 crore, surpassing Street estimates. A Moneycontrol poll had projected a profit of ₹18,820 crore. Meanwhile, net profit before minority interest increased by 6.4% to ₹22,611 crore.
Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 climbed 8.8% year-on-year to ₹2.88 lakh crore, driven by steady performance across RIL’s digital services, retail, and oil-to-chemicals segments.
Consolidated EBITDA rose 3.6% to a record ₹48,737 crore, reflecting operational strength across its consumer-facing businesses.
Profit before tax was up 5% at ₹29,103 crore, while capital expenditure for the quarter stood at ₹36,041 crore. This was comfortably covered by a cash generation of nearly ₹40,000 crore, keeping net debt steady at around ₹1.17 lakh crore.
