Indian equities tumbled for the sixth straight session on Friday, with benchmark indices under heavy selling pressure. The Sensex and Nifty saw sharp declines as renewed tariff concerns dented sentiment after U.S. President Donald Trump announced steep duties on several goods, including pharmaceuticals and automobiles. Market Performance The Sensex plunged over 800 points intraday, dipping below the 80,400 mark, while the Nifty50 slid more than 250 points to breach 24,650. By the close, the Sensex settled at 80,426.46, down 733.22 points or 0.90%. The Nifty wrapped up at 24,654.70, losing 236.15 points or 0.95%.
