Sensex Jumps Over 600 Points, Nifty Trades Above 24,050; Bargain Buying Sparks Partial Recovery

Market Recovery Driven by Value Buying and Four Key Positive Triggers Indian equity benchmarks rebounded on July 9, with the Sensex climbing more than 600 points and the Nifty moving above the 24,050 mark, recovering a portion of the sharp losses recorded in the previous session. The rebound was supported by bargain hunting, sustained foreign institutional investor (FII) buying, easing India VIX, and selective buying in heavyweight stocks. Despite the recovery, investor sentiment remained cautious as renewed geopolitical tensions in the Middle East continued to limit gains. The U.S. military announced fresh strikes on Iran on Wednesday, stating that the operations were aimed at safeguarding shipping through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. The development came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump said that the interim agreement to end the conflict was "over," reviving concerns over regional stability and global energy supplies.
