Sensex jumps over 900 points, Nifty crosses 25,600; strong buying seen in FMCG and private banking counters.

Indian markets witnessed a robust uptrend on Thursday, with major indices Sensex and Nifty climbing sharply, driven by renewed optimism over corporate earnings recovery and consistent foreign fund inflows. The benchmark Sensex surged more than 750 points to record an intraday high of 83,385.10 during the session. Overall sentiment remained constructive, as most sectors traded in positive territory. Auto, consumer durables, and realty shares led the rally, indicating solid investor participation. Banking, media, and FMCG stocks further supported the upward momentum, while slight weakness in pharma and PSU banking segments modestly capped overall gains.
