Stock Market Closed Today for Muharram; Trading to Resume on Monday
Indian stock exchanges, including the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), remain closed today, June 26, in observance of Muharram. Trading activities across all major market segments have been suspended for the day. Equity trading, equity derivatives, securities lending and borrowing (SLB), currency derivatives, and interest rate derivatives will remain unavailable on both exchanges throughout the holiday. In the commodity derivatives segment, trading on MCX will be suspended during the morning session from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, the evening session will operate as scheduled, with trading resuming from 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM/11:55 PM. Regular trading on both the NSE and BSE will recommence on Monday, June 29.
