Indian equity markets ended Thursday’s session on a strong note, with the Sensex rising 444 points and the Nifty closing above the 24,700 mark. Gains were led by pharma majors and Reliance Industries, supported by positive global cues, easing U.S. Treasury yields, and a weaker dollar. Market Recap: Markets advanced sharply, buoyed by strong buying in heavyweight stocks. Among the top Sensex performers were L&T ,

, and HUL saw selling pressure during the session. Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) turned net buyers on Wednesday, purchasing equities worth ₹1,076.18 crore, according to exchange data. Why Did the Markets Rally? Broad-based buying in pharma and energy stocks, especially Reliance. Weakening U.S. dollar and declining bond yields lifted investor confidence in emerging markets. Growing optimism around a possible RBI rate cut and strong FII-DII inflows added to bullish sentiment. Declining crude oil prices supported buying across sectors.
