Stock Market Live Sensex Surges 470 Points, Nifty Reclaims 23,500; IT Stocks Lead Rally

Stock Market Today: Indian benchmark indices staged a strong recovery, wiping out all intraday losses as the Nifty climbed back above the 23,500 mark and the Sensex advanced nearly 470 points. On the Nifty, $TCS , $INFY , $HCLTECH Technologies, $TECHM , and $TRENT emerged as the top performers, driven by robust buying in the IT sector. On the downside, $NTPC , $POWERGRID , $CIPLA a, !Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, and $LT & Toubro (L&T) remained among the major laggards. Sector-wise, the IT index jumped around 4%, leading the market rally, while Auto, Metal, Consumer Durables, and Realty indices posted gains of nearly 0.5% each. In contrast, Pharma, Healthcare, Power, Media, and Energy sectors traded lower, declining between 0.5% and 1%.
