Stock Market Live Update – Monday, February 16:
Benchmark indices staged a solid rebound, with the Sensex jumping nearly 500 points and the Nifty holding firm above the 25,600 level. However, weakness in the auto and media segments capped sharper gains, while Kwality Wall’s shares rallied 4%.
Indian equities, which began the session on a softer note amid cautious sentiment, quickly pared early losses during morning trade.
As of 2:30 PM, the Nifty 50 was up 118.30 points, or 0.46%, at 25,589.40. The Sensex advanced 260.88 points, or 0.27%, to 82,887.64.

Conversely, , , , , and i India declined up to 1.6%.
Broader Market Performance:
The broader indices remained positive, with the Nifty MidCap rising 0.18% and the Nifty SmallCap edging up 0.09%.
Sectoral Trend:
Sector-specific indices on the NSE reflected a mixed undertone. Buying interest was visible in pharma, realty, private banking, and consumer durables, while IT, auto, metal, and PSU banking stocks faced selling pressure.
The Nifty Realty index outperformed, climbing 0.79%, followed by Nifty Pharma, which gained 0.72%. Meanwhile, the Nifty IT and Nifty Auto indices slipped 0.63% and 0.50%, respectively.
