Stock Market Recap: Sensex Ends Slightly Up, Nifty Holds Above 24,550
Indian stock benchmarks erased early declines to finish modestly higher on Thursday, supported by late-session buying ahead of the weekly expiry of Nifty derivatives. Market sentiment improved after analysts downplayed the broader implications of U.S. President Donald Trump’s sudden decision to double tariffs on Indian exports, suggesting the impact on listed companies may be limited and indicating potential room for negotiation before the August 27 deadline.
