Maruti Suzuki Commissions 300 kW Green Hydrogen Pilot

Ltd has commissioned a 300 kW green hydrogen electrolyzer at its Manesar facility, marking a step toward integrating clean hydrogen into its manufacturing operations. The pilot plant uses surplus solar energy to produce green hydrogen, which will be utilised in manufacturing processes at the facility. The initiative aims to explore the use of renewable hydrogen as a cleaner energy source within industrial operations while improving the utilisation of available renewable power. The project also supports Maruti Suzuki’s broader focus on reducing emissions from its manufacturing activities and adopting cleaner technologies. The pilot could provide operational insights into the potential role of green hydrogen in large-scale automotive manufacturing.
