Maruti Suzuki & Hyundai See Sales Surge Post-GST Cuts, Navratri Boost
🚗 MARUTI and Hyundai reported a sharp sales uptick as GST rate cuts aligned with Navratri festivities. Maruti Suzuki logged 80,000 enquiries and 30,000 deliveries in a single day, with small car bookings jumping 50% and daily bookings averaging 15,000 since September 15. Hyundai achieved its highest single-day dealer billings in five years with 11,000 units. Following the GST Council’s tax cuts—small cars at 18% from 28% and cess removal on premium vehicles—Maruti slashed prices by up to ₹1.29 lakh and Hyundai by up to ₹2.4 lakh. Automakers anticipate sustained demand this festive season, fueling hopes of a revival in the entry-level segment.
