NHPC Starts Reservoir Filling for 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Project; 1000 MW Units Ready for Commissioning

has commenced reservoir filling for its 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project after receiving clearance from the National Dam Safety Authority. The project’s first phase of 1000 MW, comprising four units of 250 MW each, has been boxed up and is set for commissioning in FY 2025-26. NHPC stated that subsequent project milestones will be shared in due course.
