ONGC & Mitsui Join Forces for $370M Ethane Carrier Project

has partnered with Japan’s Mitsui O.S.K. Lines to build and operate two very large ethane carriers worth $370 million. The ships, set to be constructed in Korean shipyards, will be ready by mid-2028 to supply 800,000 TPA ethane for ONGC Petro Additions Ltd’s Dahej facility. This JV aims to secure long-term petrochemical feedstock as ONGC adjusts to leaner LNG supplies from Qatar.
