HDFCBANK
Fundamentals View- HDFC Bank, India’s largest private sector bank, remains fundamentally strong post its merger with HDFC Ltd. In FY24, it reported a robust net profit of ₹66,300 Cr with stable asset quality (Gross NPA at 1.24%) and healthy loan growth. The bank maintains a strong capital adequacy ratio of ~18.8% and a steady net interest margin of ~3.4%. With expanding digital platforms, a large CASA base, and strong retail plus housing loan demand, HDFC Bank is well-positioned for sustained growth. Valuations remain reasonable, making it a reliable long-term investment pick. Technical View- HDFC Bank recently hit a new lifetime high following the RBI policy announcement, but the stock has since entered a phase of mild consolidation driven by profit booking. Despite this, it has maintained a strong base near ₹1900, highlighting investor confidence even amid broader market volatility and rising geopolitical tensions, such as the Israel–Iran situation. The stock continues to respect its support zone, having bounced off the ₹1913 level on Friday without breaching the ₹1900 mark. On the current session, it opened at ₹1937, touched a high of ₹1941.60 and dipped to ₹1919.20, now hovering around ₹1925 – between its 14-day and 55-day EMA, indicating a neutral to mildly bullish structure. As long as the ₹1900 support holds, the stock is well-positioned for a short-term pullback. A sustained move above ₹1950 could open the way for a rally towards ₹1975–₹1980, with a potential retest of the all-time high in the coming sessions. The setup favors buy-on-dips strategy with a clear stop-loss near the ₹1900 zone.
