Fundamental View- Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), backed by the Tata Group, is a leading hospitality player in India with a market cap of over ₹75,000 crore. In FY24, the company reported strong revenue of ₹7,200 crore and a net profit of around ₹1,060 crore, supported by robust occupancy rates (75–78%) and healthy EBITDA margins of ~33%. With popular brands like Taj, Vivanta, Ginger, and SeleQtions, IHCL has a wide domestic and global presence. Its low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.3 and ROE of 14.5% reflect solid financial health. The company is pursuing an asset-light expansion strategy and digital transformation initiatives, positioning itself well for future growth amid rising travel demand. Despite a higher P/E of 65x, analysts remain optimistic due to strong fundamentals and long-term growth visibility. Technical View- As seen in the daily chart, Indian Hotels stock has recently shown a sharp bounce from its 200-day EMA, suggesting strong support near the ₹735–740 zone. Today, the stock opened at ₹742.05 and made a high of ₹767.80, closing strongly around ₹765.65, indicating bullish sentiment after recent consolidation. The MACD is still in the negative zone but showing signs of convergence, hinting at a potential reversal. The RSI is near 50, suggesting neutral momentum with room for upside if buying continues. Parabolic SAR dots have flipped below the price, confirming a short-term bullish bias. If the stock sustains above ₹770, it could trigger a fresh rally towards the ₹790–800 range. On the downside, ₹740 continues to act as a strong support level. Overall, the technical setup suggests a recovery phase has started, especially if broader market sentiment remains positive. In my view, buying can be considered with a short-term support of ₹700, and if the stock dips towards the ₹750–751 zone, it can be accumulated for a potential upside towards ₹850.
