Fundamental View-
INDIGO
IndiGo, India’s largest airline with a market cap of over ₹1.25 lakh crore (as of June 2025), continues to dominate the domestic aviation market with a 60% share and a growing fleet of 360+ aircraft. In FY24, the airline recorded its highest-ever annual profit of ₹8,200+ crore on revenues of ₹62,000+ crore, supported by an EBITDAR margin of 24%, reflecting strong operational efficiency. The company maintains moderate debt, mainly from aircraft lease obligations, and holds a robust cash position of over ₹21,000 crore. IndiGo is expanding rapidly on international routes across Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East while maintaining a cost-efficient, no-frills model and consistently high load factors of 85%+. With growing air travel demand, easing fuel prices, and strategic capacity additions, IndiGo is well-positioned for long-term growth, despite short-term risks from ATF price volatility and global geopolitical developments. Technical View- As seen in the daily chart, IndiGo recently touched a high of ₹5600 earlier this week but faced a sharp decline afterward. The stock is currently trading within a narrow zone between its 14-day and 55-day EMAs, indicating consolidation. On the upside, ₹5400 acts as a resistance level, while ₹5200 appears to be a key support. Today, the stock opened at ₹5308, hit a high of ₹5334.50, and closed near its day’s low at ₹5273, taking support at the 55-day EMA. In the short term, the stock may continue to take support near ₹5200, and if it decisively breaks and sustains above ₹5400, we could see a potential move toward ₹5600. Following recent concerns in the aviation sector after the Air India plane incident in Ahmedabad, there is some short-term pressure across airline stocks. However, IndiGo remains resilient, focusing on cost-cutting and improving profitability. If bullish momentum returns, the stock has the potential to rally towards ₹6000 levels in the long run.
