The company primarily offers home loans to individuals for purchasing, construction, or renovation of houses and also provides loans to professionals for commercial spaces. As of FY24, the company’s loan book stood at over ₹2.8 lakh crore, showing steady growth. It has maintained healthy asset quality, though NPAs have seen some pressure in the past due to macroeconomic factors. For Q4 FY24, LICHSGFIN reported a net profit of ₹1,309 crore, up 7% YoY, supported by improved net interest income and operational efficiency. The Net Interest Margin (NIM) stood around 2.95%, and the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) remains above regulatory norms. The stock trades at reasonable valuation multiples compared to peers like HDFC Ltd and PNB Housing. Backed by a strong promoter and expanding retail lending footprint, the long-term outlook remains positive, especially if interest rates stabilize. Technical View- As seen on the daily chart, LIC Housing Finance (LICHSGFIN) is witnessing a strong uptrend rally. Yesterday’s movement signaled a breakout confirmation, and today the stock opened at ₹619.45, made a low of ₹618.00, touched a high of ₹638.90, and closed strongly at ₹637.05—up ₹18.05 or 2.92%. Despite the MACD line still trading below the signal line, the momentum indicates underlying strength, supported by RSI holding above 50. On the higher timeframe, both weekly and monthly charts reflect solid trend strength, with the stock consistently trading above its 50-day and 55-day EMAs, suggesting strong long-term support. Any dip near ₹575 can act as a buy-on-dip opportunity, and if the trend sustains, the stock may soon test ₹700 levels in the short to medium term.
