POWERGRID

POWERGRID
Fundamental View- Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd is a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking and India’s largest power transmission utility, responsible for operating over 90% of the country’s interstate and inter-regional power transmission network. As of FY24, the company reported a robust revenue of ₹46,600+ crore and a net profit of over ₹15,200 crore, reflecting consistent performance under its regulated return-based business model. With a market capitalization exceeding ₹2.1 lakh crore (as of June 2025), PowerGrid maintains a healthy EBITDA margin of around 86–88%, Return on Equity (ROE) of approximately 17%, and a stable debt-to-equity ratio of 1.3x, supported by strong and predictable cash flows. Technical View- As observed in PowerGrid's daily chart, the stock has been under consistent selling pressure this week. For the past three sessions, it has been trading within a narrow range, with technical indicators like the Parabolic SAR, MACD, and RSI signaling a bearish trend. On June 13, 2025, the stock made a low of ₹282.35 but managed to close at ₹285.50 after touching a high of ₹286.40. Notably, the ₹285 level has held as a support since then. Today, the stock opened at ₹285.55, made a low of ₹285.20, and is currently trading near ₹292, close to its 14-day EMA. This suggests that the stock may consolidate in a range for a few more sessions. However, if it continues to hold above the 14-day EMA, it could indicate the end of the current downtrend and the beginning of a corrective phase. The ₹285 level appears to be a strong short-term support, and any dips toward this level could be considered as accumulation opportunities. If the stock sustains above this zone, a rebound toward ₹300–305 in the short term looks likely.
