Fundamental View- Tata Motors, one of India’s largest automotive companies, has shown a strong financial and operational turnaround in FY24–25. With a market capitalization of over ₹3.5 lakh crore (as of June 2025), the company posted consolidated revenues exceeding ₹4.4 lakh crore and a net profit of ₹31,800+ crore, marking a significant recovery from past losses. Its core businesses—Passenger Vehicles (PV), Commercial Vehicles (CV), and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR)—are all performing well, with JLR returning to profitability and Tata EVs leading India’s electric mobility space. Technical View- As seen in the daily chart of Tata Motors, the stock witnessed a notable decline this week, primarily due to weak margin guidance from JLR. On June 16, 2025, it touched a high of ₹713.85 but has since been in a continuous downtrend, now trading below its 14, 55, and 200-day EMAs—clearly reflecting bearish momentum. Despite strength in other auto stocks, Tata Motors appears weak, also impacted by broader geopolitical concerns. From a longer-term perspective, the stock had rallied from a low of ₹642 (recorded on May 7, 2025) to a high of ₹744 on June 11, indicating strong prior momentum. Currently, however, it is in a corrective phase. Today, the stock opened at ₹673.40, hit a low of ₹670.15, and is now hovering near ₹676. A strong support zone exists around ₹640–650, which could serve as a good accumulation level for long-term investors. With a stop loss near ₹640, the stock may offer upside potential toward ₹720–725 if market sentiment improves.
