Bajaj Finserv - Holding above the cloud, Kijun caps the move

BAJAJFINSV
trades at Rs 1,992, and the Ichimoku picture is constructive on the longer view while capped on the shorter one. Price sits well above the cloud, which spans Rs 1,793 to Rs 1,863, and the Chikou span is clear of the price action from 26 sessions ago, so the lagging line is confirming rather than contradicting the trend. The stock is up roughly 21% over 60 sessions. The near term is where the resistance sits. The Tenkan is at Rs 1,984 and the Kijun at Rs 2,005, and price has been unable to close above the Kijun through the last month, giving back about 4.5% in that time. RSI at 51 sits neutral, and the last completed session traded around 0.86 times its 20 day average volume, so neither side is committing. The business context explains the pause. Buying out Allianz SE from the 23% stake in the life and general insurance joint ventures does not add new operating profit. It increases the share of existing insurance profit accruing to Finserv shareholders, and for a holding company that value shows up through a narrower holding company discount, which is a slow revaluation rather than a quarterly event. Q1 FY27 net profit growth of about 12% is consistent with that steady rather than spectacular picture. The risk to watch is execution in the insurance arms and any widening of the discount if the lending business slows. Two levels frame it. A daily close above Rs 2,005 strengthens the setup and puts the 60 day high near Rs 2,118 back in play. Below the 50 EMA at Rs 1,951, and then the cloud top at Rs 1,863, the setup weakens.
