Boom phase of market comes immediately after the boring phase. In these times everyone is eager to invest. Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) comes into the picture. Every Tom, Dick & Harry is investing or trading as they hear stories of their friends, relatives or acquaintances making money in the stock market. Here if you are not careful then you might end up buying companies at really high valuations which may jeopardize returns in the short-term. But still you can make decent money in the long run provided you are invested in high quality firms. Investors who invested in technology funds in 1999 may not have made money in the following three years but would have made good money over the next 10-15 years.
