While you invest in small cap stocks directly or in small cap funds, its important to check how fundamentally strong and sustainable are those small cap businesses. Mindful and calculated investing can balance your risk even in small caps, the key is to research well and have an investment horizon that spans at least one if not many business cycles. Avoid penny stocks and concentrate on direct stocks or funds which invest in high quality small cap companies.
