Conclusions drawn by new retail investors!

It seems like the retail investors are very convinced that they will make a lot of money in the stock market at all price points based on their experience in the past 3-4 years. The market has done extremely well, and the ‘new’ investors have seen a one-way ride in the market from the pandemic lows. In the last three years, the Nifty 50 is up about 45 per cent, while the mid-cap and the small-cap indices are up 100 per cent. The conclusion many investors have drawn from their recent investment experience are 1) one will always make money in the market and never lose money, (2) one will make large returns in the market at all price points and 3) one will make even larger amounts of money in mid- and small-cap stocks at all price points.
