Different views on asset allocaton!

Different experts will have different views on how to allocate equity mutual funds to investors with varied risk profiles. Below are some common views on how allocation should be done across different investor categories: Conservative Investors – They have very small exposure to equity. So entire allocation of equity can be made in Large-Cap Funds or Index Funds. Balance Investors – They can have some exposure to Non-Large-Cap funds. So, equity allocation can be 70-75% to Large-Caps & 25-30% to Mid-Cap and Small-Cap Funds. Aggressive Investors – They can have more exposure to Mid-Caps & Small-Caps. So, equity allocation can be 50-60% to Large-Caps, 15-25% to Mid-Caps and 15-25% to Small-Caps. Above are just general suggestions. Each investor has unique financial needs, risk appetite & returns expectations.
