Dividend option in MF scheme!

As per mutual fund norms, a dividend option mutual fund scheme can declare dividends only when the fund manager books a profit. This may force a fund manager to sell stocks quoting in profits and lead to a situation where the scheme sells winners prematurely. This results in killing the compounding effect even though the investor gets some cash flows. Not to mention that the dividend declared by the scheme is subject to taxation.
