Financial Independence Non-Negotiable for Women!
Many women delay investing because they believe they will "figure it out later." But there is a cost of delay. Women normally experience more career breaks for various reasons like pregnancy, childcare, elder- caregiving etc. Additionally, they make 34% less money than men on average due to the gender pay gap in India, which lowers their lifetime earnings. Women typically live 5–6 years longer than men and hence they need to save more for retirement. Additionally, because of their longer life expectancy and particular medical requirements, women typically have higher healthcare costs. Hence, it is all the more essential to be on top of our finances and our financial independence is non-negotiable.
