Government themes of last year!

Last year showed us that tracking government policies or priorities can make you generate stupendous returns. For example, higher spending in defense and government thrust on indigenization triggered growth in defense stocks last year. Ditto for stocks in the railways segment. Again, segments like EMS, API etc., also received a boost because of a combination of the China-plus-one factor and government thrust on the segment through production-linked incentive (PLI) schemes.
