Investment thesis!

If you do not have an investment thesis, you should not be investing in a stock. Remember your investment is in the business. So, you should see whether the business is growing and making more money per share than it did a few years ago? Gauge the potential value of the business 10 years down the road after studying the company & it’s sector? This will give you an indication as to whether the potential growth is mispriced by the market or not.
