Listed & Unlisted bonds!
In India, bonds are categorized into listed and unlisted segments. Listed bonds are traded on stock exchanges, providing investors with liquidity and transparency. They include Government Securities (G-Secs) and corporate bonds, which are subject to regulatory oversight, making them relatively safer investments. Unlisted bonds, on the other hand, are not traded on exchanges and often come with higher yields to compensate for their illiquidity. These may include private placements or bonds issued by smaller firms. While unlisted bonds can offer attractive returns, they also carry relatively higher risks due to potential credit risks associated with lesser-known issuers.
