Mid cap category!

Many moderate or low risk investors also want to put some money in mid cap or small cap funds when they look at the high returns delivered by these two categories in the recent times. Given their structural nature, small cap funds are riskier than midcap funds but do not necessarily always give higher returns. Also, they can be a lot more volatile than any other fund category. So, while investing in the midcap fund category is still fine for conservative or low risk investors, the small cap fund category is best avoided.
