Online investing platforms give the convenience of comparing multiple FDs from one place without having to visit the branch. It makes investing simple & easy. But note that all online platforms offer fixed deposits from select entities only such as small finance banks and NBFCs offering attractive rates that they have partnered with. And even with these entities, only FDs of select tenures are offered on the platforms. If you want to invest in deposits of other entities, you will have to approach them separately. So online platforms offer the convenience of investing but you have to choose from select fixed deposits only. Also, if you want to invest only with larger banks, online platforms may not be an option. But for others, such platforms serve the purpose of easy investing in high-return fixed deposits.
