While investing in SME stocks do check the promoter background. Promoter credibility is key. A simple Google search can be helpful to find out about the company’s promoter. Sometimes, there is a complete disconnect between what the company does and the promoter’s previous work experience. Companies where promoters have a shady background should be best avoided.
