Sectors for Vikshit Bharat 2047!
Happy Independence Day! On event of India’s 78th Independence Day, there are some specific sectors which can go a long way in making our country a developed nation by 2047. In the defense sector, exports that once stood at just ₹686 crore in 2013–14 has soared to ₹23,622 crore in 2024–25. This marks a 34-fold increase and reflects the government's sharp focus on building a self-reliant and globally competitive defense industry. The semiconductor and electronics sectors in coming years will strengthen India’s integration into global electronics value chain. This integration will lead to economic growth and job prosperity. Lastly India’s auto sector is key driver of the economy. India is the second largest manufacturer of 2W, the largest manufacturer of 3W and 3rd largest manufacturers of passenger cars in the world. The sector contributes approximately 6% to India's GDP and supports about 30 million jobs.
