Sell side FOMO!

In current market, the retail investors are struggling to act against market’s mood especially on the sell side. Nobody wants to even sell the most expensive mid-cap & small-cap stocks due to their FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). This trend is visible in mutual funds where flows are still good in these themes. So, domestic institutions keep buying the same small-cap & mid-cap stocks which drives its valuations crazy. This gives easy exit to FIIs and HNIs who are more than willing to book hefty profits. This is not a good trend from long-term point of view as continuous buying support into same stocks at higher valuations create an illusionary picture to retail investors only to deceive them later.
