Gains Steam as JV Bags Key Railway Project

shares climbed nearly 2 percent in early trade on January 29 after the company announced that its joint venture with GPT has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a Northern Railway project. The RVNL–GPT JV has been selected for the design and construction of a new rail-cum-road bridge along with overhead electrification and general electrical works in the Lucknow division at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, lifting investor sentiment and pushing the stock to Rs 348.35 in morning trade.
