The Rouse Avenue Court in New Delhi has issued summons to Hindalco Industries Ltd and two of its officials, SK Tamotia and PRS Mani, in connection with a decade-old coal scam case. As per the court order uploaded on April 8, the individuals have been directed to appear before the court on May 6. The summons have been issued on serious criminal charges, including criminal breach of trust and fraud. The court stated, “It is submitted that cognizance of the offences under Section 120B read with Section 409 of the IPC, along with the substantive offences, be taken and the accused be summoned.
