ADRs for Infosys and Wipro drop by up to 4% following Donald Trump's new H1B immigration directives.

After US President Donald Trump signed an executive order restricting the entry of some H-1B visa holders into the US, the American Depository Receipts (ADRs) of Infosys Ltd. and Wipro Ltd., which are listed in the US, dropped as much as 4% overnight. On Friday, the Wipro ADR dropped 2% while the Infosys ADR dropped 4%. In accordance with the new regulations, new applications must include or supplement an H-1B petition with a $1,000,000 payment. The application may be rejected by the US State Department due to nonpayment. Since prices will eventually become unsustainable, the increased visa fees could essentially put an end to the H-1B program as it currently exists.
