After seven years, SEBI approves IHH Healthcare's long-stalled 26.1% Fortis open offer.
FORTIS Nearly seven years after the Malaysian company first purchased a 31.1% stake in the Indian hospital chain, India's capital market regulator SEBI finally approved IHH Healthcare Berhad's long-delayed open offer for a 26.1% stake in Fortis Healthcare, according to a regulatory filing filed on Friday.
The Malaysian business said in a filing to the Malaysian Stock Exchange that SEBI had given IHH permission to proceed with the open offer for Fortis Healthcare and its subsidiary Fortis Malar Hospitals in its letter dated October 1, 2025. The news was also posted by Fortis Healthcare on the BSE website.
