According to a statement by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), which is run by GMR Airports, about 120 daily domestic flights operated by Air India and Indigo are scheduled to move to the refurbished Terminal 2 starting on the intervening night of October 25–26, 2025.
On April 15 of this year, Terminal 2 was closed for renovations. "The upgraded Terminal 2 offers a host of passenger-friendly facilities, like the Self Baggage Drop (SBD) facility and new passenger boarding bridges featuring autonomous docking technology," the statement continued.
Six passenger boarding bridges with autonomous docking technology—which directs passengers to the airplane door without the need for human intervention—were purchased by DIAL from South Korea. In India, this would be the first of its sort.#TechnicalViews#FundamentalViews#StockInNews#WatchOutFor
