Dream11 steps down as Team India sponsor

The fantasy sports website Dream11 has canceled its sponsorship of Team India's jerseys in response to the Online Gaming Bill Act. Just sixteen days before the Asia Cup begins in the United Arab Emirates, the BCCI is left frantically searching for alternatives as a result of the Online Gaming Bill's prohibition on fantasy and real-money gaming sites. In 2023, Dream11 signed a sponsorship contract for ₹358 crore, paying ₹3 crore for each home game and ₹1 crore for each away game. It was scheduled to end in 2026. Perhaps for the first time in recent memory, the BCCI is now dealing with the logistical challenge of an upcoming spot on India's uniform as the event approaches.
