Enhertu, a cancer treatment, is approved for marketing in India by AstraZeneca for a new indication.

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), Directorate General of Health Services, has given drug company AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited permission to import, market, and distribute trastuzumab deruxtecan 100mg/5mL vial lyophilized powder for concentrate for solution for infusion (brand name: Enhertu) for an additional indication, the company announced on Friday, October 3. Enhertu is approved to treat adult patients with HER2-positive (IHC3+) solid tumors that are either incurable or metastatic, have undergone systemic treatment in the past, and have no viable alternative therapeutic alternatives.
